Melody and Gale Kedinger are sitting in class. Gale is paying attention and taking notes while Melody is in the background pecking at her nails.

TEACHER

I know you all had a wonderful vacation

this summer, but now that the new semester

is starting I want you guys to really start

thinking about your fabulous summer in forms

of short stories and maybe even fiction...

CAPTION

Yeah Right.

PANEL 2

Melody stares at Gale from the back of class. Gale gives an expression of going elsewhere in her head.

CAPTION

That is the last thing I want to do.

All I want to do is forget about last

summer.

PAGE TITLE: Starting Flashback

PANEL 1

Shot is from afar, sideview, at eye level in the woods near dawn. Vivian is standing a few feet away from Lacy in a clearing, facing her. Mercedes is a few feet behind Lacy, with her arms crossed, facing them.

VIVIAN

You gotta be fucking kidding me? If I have

to trigger my shifting again i'm going to

go fuckin berserk redfury on this place. And

I know there's lil campers next door who would mind being torn to shreds.

LACEY

You need to relax and concentrate.

MERCEDES

If you don't practice you're never going to

get this down.

PANEL 2

Cuts to straight forward shot of Vivian holding her arms out.

VIVIAN

How many times do I have to do this today?

I can't go any more, i'm fucking exhausted

man.

PANEL 3

Shot facing Lacey and Mercedes from a side angle. Mercedes looks stern while Lacey looks a tad more light hearted.

MERCEDES

Are you going to do this right now? Don't pussy out on me. You

have a talent, Vivian.

LACEY

And you are one of the only few in the world

that can do this!

VIVIAN

I am not a pussy, Mercedes, i'm just tired,

we have been doing this all day. I don't

know if I can change more than 3 times

a day.

Shot from behind (almost from bushes), Lacey is holding out her palm to Vivian. Mercedes is still in the same spot, with her arms crossed, awaiting Vivian's action.

LACEY

You can do this. You just have to focus,

push yourself. (is serious)

VIVIAN

I have been pushing myself... I don't see

what's the point of shifting this much

anyways.

MERCEDES

Because you can.

Straight shot on Mercedes. Her head is slightly tilted down and she is slightly snarling while talking.

MERCEDES

If anyone can do it, you can. We picked

you to join our clan for a reason and

now we're going to make the best out of

you.
